A Warm Welcome
The graceful lines and sea green colours of the Angelus Centre invite you inside for a closer look at the stunning Swedish wood and glass structure that is now a distinctive landmark in the community.
Angelus Centre can accommodate up to 175 people and boasts a fully licensed bar, state of the art catering preparation facilities, ambient lighting and the luxury of full air-conditioning.
So, whether you’re seeking the perfect venue for your wedding reception, a family party, or even as a meeting place for your club or group, we are ready to help.
The Suites
There are four air-conditioned suites available and they can be taken together or separately – it’s entirely dependent on you.
St James Suite is the largest and can accommodate 120 guests seated (for silver service) or up to 175 in a more informal setting. The large round tables provided can seat 12 using banquet chairs. The suite also benefits from a large bar area that is fully licensed.
The St Clare & St Joseph Suites are perfect for group and club meetings. Large tables and banquet chairs are provided in each room catering for up to 15 people.
St Francis Suite is a larger room especially designed to be more self-contained for the use of our younger guests, with its en-suite children’s washroom facilities. Not just for the children however, it can accommodate 30 grown-ups comfortably in theatre or conference style or in an informal setting.
Catering & Refreshments
The Kitchen
The Centre’s kitchen is well equipped with modern catering preparation facilities. This includes a large oven and gas cooker, two hot cupboards and good capacity refrigeration. There is also instant water for hot drinks conveniently located by the serving hatch opening on to the main suite.
The Bar
The bar area in St James’ suite has a large chiller cabinet, plenty of storage space for bottles and glasses, hand washing facilities and even a cold cellar behind it.
The Outdoors
There is a landscaped garden area to the side and rear – the meeting rooms and main suite have French doors that open out onto these. There is also a brightly lit parking area to the front, which can accommodate up to 28 cars including 2 spaces for orange badge holders.
